PURCHASE GUARANTEE AND AGREEMENT

Thank you for your purchase from Hallmark Ragdolls (hereafter referred to as “Seller”). This Agreement outlines the rights and responsibilities of both Buyer and Seller.

DESCRIPTION OF KITTEN/CAT PURCHASED:

Kitten/Cat is being sold as the following quality as determined by the Seller:

I. SELLER HEALTH GUARANTEE. At time of shipment, pick-up, or delivery, Seller guarantees that purchased kitten/cat:

1. is free from FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), FELV (Feline Leukemia), and FIV (Feline AIDS).

2. has been vaccinated with Fort Dodge Fel-O-Vax IV, a general vaccine against Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici, Panleukopenia, Chlamydia Psittaci.

3. is free of parasites (worms, fleas, et al).

4. is free from genetic or congenital defect. If within TWO YEARS of purchase a licensed veterinarian provides to the Seller a complete autopsy report proving death was caused by genetic or congenital defect, Seller will replace the kitten/cat with one of similar quality.

II. BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES.

1. Shipment/Delivery. Buyer agrees to assume shipment/delivery costs.

2. Veterinary Care. Though Seller will gladly provide continuing guidance on veterinary care, Buyer agrees to provide adequate lifetime veterinary care for kitten/cat at Buyer’s sole expense, including the following:

a. Spaying/Neutering. Buyer agrees to spay/neuter purchased Pet- or Show-Quality kitten/cat (unless otherwise stipulated) between 6-9 months of age. Buyer will provide Seller with proof of altering in the form of a dated receipt from a certified veterinarian that includes a description of the animal involved. When Seller receives such form, Seller will provide the TICA registration document (blue slip). If no proof of altering is received by Seller by the end of the aforementioned time frame, Buyer agrees to pay Seller the difference between the purchase price as listed in this agreement and the cost of a breeder kitten/cat ($1600.00). Seller reserves the right to withhold registration papers if the terms and conditions outlined herein are not met. Should there be a medical reason why the kitten/cat should not be altered, Buyer will contact Seller with a written statement from a veterinarian stating the reason and Seller will not require price difference.

b. Vaccines. Buyer agrees to administer only one vaccine at a time to kitten/cat.

c. Other Veterinary Expenses. Buyer agrees to assume financial responsibility for all lifetime veterinary expenses upon delivery of kitten/cat.

3. No Declawing. Buyer agrees not the declaw the kitten/cat. Buyer may ask Seller or veterinarian about humane alternatives.

4. Indoors Only. Buyer understands that the Ragdoll breed is a submissive breed and agrees to keep kitten/cat indoors for its own safety.

5. Lifetime Care. Buyer agrees to never sell, lease, or give away kitten/cat to any rescue facility, cat breeder, pet shop, animal research laboratory, or similar facility. If for any reason Buyer becomes unable to care for kitten/cat, Seller may accept kitten/cat back at Seller's discretion and Buyer’s expense, if any, with no expectation of refund.
