Our Customers Have To Say About Hallmark Ragdolls

"In
2004 my beloved 10-year-old rescue cat died of
kidney failure. The vet said a hereditary defect
was probably to blame, and that had I known his
and his parents' health histories, I might have
had him around longer. I
decided to buy my next cat from a breeder so I'd
have a greater guarantee of his health
and avoid that heartache again. I had
never owned a Ragdoll, but I was enthralled by
the purported personality of the breed
-- loving, "co-dependent" (or so I hoped,
ha!) lap cats.
Rowan,
a flamepoint, is everything I've hoped for. I
was so pleased that I got two more Ragdolls
from Hallmark Ragdolls,
Charlie (chocolate bicolor) and Oliver (blue colorpoint).
All three love to
play fetch just like a dog! Since
I befriended her, I
have visited Ellen's home and breeding facilities
many times and can verify that she is an experienced,
humane cat breeder who cares for her animals intensely.
She so impressed me that I built and maintain
this website for her, and I continue to foster
kittens for her breeding program.
I
highly recommend Hallmark Ragdolls to anyone
seeking to buy a Ragdoll cat!"

"I
wanted to get these new pix of Mocha Truffle
into the email so that you and Marco can see
how very cute he is! We have enjoyed him so
much and he is so very bright,
funny and sweet.
You certainly taught him all the 'manners'
and were so helpful about the health tips and
foods. Mocha
is quite the companion and is with me everywhere...
you will see him sleeping under my monitor when
I'm working on the computer! We appreciate
your fine care and knowledge and you
both have made this experience really great.
Thank Marco for delivering this (once little)
ball of fluff and taking such nice pictures
of us. I will be sending you a deposit on our
next 'wonder cat' and looking forward
to having a companion for Mocha. I
am so grateful to find you and experience how
much you care and
what high qualities you display for
caring for and raising such fine and beautiful
animals. You can see that Mocha
is really healthy and happy... our very best
to you."

Emma,
a bicolor

at
age
2, in her summer coat!
|
"Most
of us are quite hesitant when it comes to making
a recommendation on someone else's behalf regardless
of what the service or product might be. However,
our experience with
Hallmark Ragdolls has not only been a good experience
but an ongoing experience. Day
after day, we see
how well our new beloved bi-colored Ragdoll kitten
'Emma' has been raised by Hallmark Ragdolls.
She has the greatest personality
one could imagine. She learns so quickly.
The first day, she immediately understood where
the litter boxes were. In a matter of days, Emma
learned where she is allowed to roam (i.e. virtually
anywhere) and where she is not (i.e. dining room
table). Note: she does sit on one of the
chairs as family members should. Not
too long ago, my wife and I experienced the lost
of our Himalayan cat, 'Tabitha' (16 years). This
was one of God’s extraordinary creatures.
We thought that no cat could replace her. Well,
no cat can replace her. However, Emma is well
on her way to such a high and seemingly unreachable
status. She truly is a loving and affectionate
creature, almost as if she understands
our loss. What impressed us about Hallmark
Ragdolls is that Marco and
Ellen both were quite concerned about what type
of home Emma might end up in.
I suppose one might find questions of that nature
a bit intrusive; however, it
showed that they cared. If they
are so concerned as to where their kittens are
going to live, they must have taken great care
of them while those kittens lived with them. The
day we came to pick Emma up, it was obvious that
they were going to miss her. After the
tragic death of our cat Tabitha, we can relate
to the pain of losing a pet/companion/friend.
Hallmark has heart!"

Thor
"The Water Cat", a blue mitted, practices
his "FLOP!"
|
"We
love our little Thor! He
follows us around and
loves to watch me get ready in the bathroom
every morning. While waiting for me to
finish he often admires his good looks
by taking a peek at himself in the mirror!
He'll cry by the door when we leave home and if
he can't find us when we are home, he cries. We
have to call his name to remind him that we are
close by! We continue
to be amazed by his intelligence;
one night he lost his play mouse under the oven
and was determined to get it out the next morning.
He must have been thinking about it all night
as he was locked away from the kitchen. He
really enjoys our company as we do his! He, unlike
most cats, LOVES jumping into the shower
with whomever is taking a shower! It does not
even phase him when he's wet or maybe he just
does not care! When
we give him a bath, he seems to enjoy it
as he becomes nearly comatose!
I have never seen a kitten/cat so enjoy himself
so much in the water! He keeps us entertained;
however, he can be quite a "paw full"
for our senior resident cat. She loves him deep
down, she just has to show him who's boss. She'll
try to be sweet and will lick him; she must feel
that he needs a CAT bath rather than a SHOWER,
but like a little kid he objects and thinks it's
play-time ALL THE TIME! He's a little
energy ball with a hearty appetite, an
amazing eating machine, I must say! Thank
you for the opportunity to bring Thor into our
home and family. We certainly enjoy him!"

"I
reserved Jasper the week he was born, which meant
that I had a long wait before getting him. Ellen
and Marco were kind enough to let me come visit
twice, and sent me lots of great photos periodically.
Jasper is everything
I ever hoped he'd be (he's here helping me type
right now). My dad
loved him too, and, while holding Jasper
in flop position, would often
say "we should've gotten two of these!"
For his sixtieth birthday, my brother
and I made his dream come true, and we
brought home adorable little Harry (Potter).
The two have a great time together, and whoever's
home during the day is sure to have several shadows.
Ellen and Marco
definitely care a lot about their cats and their
future homes.
It was a joy to work with them, and I thank them
for blessing us with such wonderful feline friends."

Bo,
a seal colorpoint |
"Hi
guys, just wanted to let you know that Bo (aka
Bo Bear, Baby Bo, & Tur-Bo) is doing great.
He is blossoming in his new home and he
brings us joy everyday. He has
made friends with Chance the dog already. They
play and have some naps together. He is trying
to make friends with Eio the cat, but she is not
ready to let her guard down yet. She spends most
of her waking hours watching him and getting closer
so that's progress. We are using lots of positive
reinforcement. It's taking the whole family
to keep up with his play requirements.
He likes to play, play, play, and be in
the middle of everything. He has pretty
much taken over all of us and the house. He had
a bat,h which he didn't like at first, but then
figured out it wasn't so bad. He gets
more beautiful and more full of himself everyday.
Thank you so much for breeding
these wonderful animals and letting us be owned
by one."

Shadow,
a seal colorpoint, gives best friend Steven a kiss |

Shadow
& Steven chillin' together as best friends
should |
Hey
Ellen, it's us and little Steven! Just updating
on the kitten we got from you. Shadow
is doing really wonderful, absolutely
loves Steven. He
licks like a dog! At 3am he comes
over to us and tries very hard to get dry
nursing on our earlobes and pushes
with his paws on our face. We
let him do that once in the while but not 3 in
the morning!
Wish you well with other cats!

Chloe
was born on March 1st, and I’ve had her
since April. She is the most amazing cat ever.
Here are a couple of her Ragdoll-ish qualities:
-
When the mood strikes her, she will climb onto
my stomach and bury her head under my chin and
wrap her arms around my neck. She’ll
just snuggle there forever. It’s
so cute and my favorite thing.
- In the morning, she follows
me to each room while I’m
getting ready.
- When there are a bunch of people around -- she
doesn’t run away. She likes being
around people and being the center of
attention. She loves hanging out with us.
- She always lets me pick her up
and never tries to get away once I’ve done
so. Sometimes I’ll go up to her to pick
her up and she’ll
just flop down in front of me
– doesn’t even run!
- She gets along
beautifully with our other cat
who is 10 years old. They bring out the best in
one another and play all day while we are at work.
They are usually on the bed lying next to each
other when we get home.
It's
hard to tell but she has GORGEOUS
blue eyes. I love her dearly.
Thank you for my little girl!

Bones
is getting so big!!! We love her dearly. She has
made quite the impression on all of us here. She
is easily the most individual cat we
have ever seen! She is always begging us for food
and dinner, she somehow learned
to play fetch, likes to play in
her water bowl (or the sink), and when she's tired
she always likes
to lay with someone.
She sometimes reminds us of a dog at times.
She once stole a chicken bone off my brother's
plate! We are blessed to have her in our house.
She never ceases to be a character. She's still
a little cross-eyed, but we think it makes her
even more adorable!

Delilah,
a seal mitted |

Jezebel,
a blue colorpoint |
I
thought you might enjoy a couple of pictures of
the kitties we bought from you last August. They
are both very sweet cats. Ephraim
and Allegra's kitten [Delilah] is larger, a bit
more finicky and more on the mellow side. She
really craves affection.
The kitty from Maxx and Sonja's litter [Jezebel]
is much more active, domineering and into things.
She is the colorpoint, more white kitty in the
pictures. Though she is not as vocal, she chirps
to be picked up every day,
but only wants to be held for a minute ... and
then she is into everything. Thanks again!

Andy,
a seal colorpoint |
We
purchased Raggedy Andy when I started working
from home and knew that I would need a furry companion
during the long work days. He has been that and
more. He follows
me room to room. He waits
for me while I shower and then
licks the water droplets off of my ankles when
I finish. Our ferocious little hunter loves to
bat ping pong balls around the house
and has been known to capture a cricket now and
then. He is the
most loving cat that I have ever known.
When I pick him up, he simply flops
in my arms as if he was a liquid
and he puts up with my constant hugs and
kisses.
Our
favorite game is "Pounce". Andy will
hide around a corner and meow. When I come to
find him, he will jump out at me, standing on
his hind legs with his arms outstretched in a
hug position. It is adorable how he will randomly
jump out and hug my leg in this fashion. We
never have to worry about him sneaking out of
the house when we come and go. He is very obedient
about staying inside. I've never
seen a cat so content to stay in the house. We
knew that he was different from other cats from
the very beginning, when instead of the basic
kitten "Mew", he used a unique sound
of his own. While his bunny-soft
fur is easy to maintain, Andy loves being
brushed. He will stretch out for us when
we show him his brush and he pinches his eyes
shut in glee. We can tell when he's happy because
this cat has a real smile, just like a human's
smile! When he lies down, he collapses
so hard, that he makes an audible "poomf"
noise. My husband loves to cradle
him just like a baby and Andy
doesn't seem to mind being held this way
at all.

Sophie,
a dilute
mitted tortie |
Hi Ellen, we adopted Sophie (the beautiful Diluted
Tortie). I just wanted to let you know that she
is doing great & is so full of energy
that my Mom is amazed. Now I know what you meant
when you said she was filled with piss & vinegar,
but she is so cute
that I can't stop watching her (and my
Mom can't stop talking about her). She
is worried that Sophie is too active to be a Ragdoll
but I told her that she is just a kitty and when
she gets older she will calm down and be a lap
cat.
[Webmaster's
Note: Yes, Sophie will get loafier as she
gets older. Expect your lap to be perpetually
warm!]
